Anti-Corporate, Anti-Globalist and Anti-Capitalism Conspiracy Theorists Abound

Many conspiracy theorists have joined the likes of arsonist eco-terrorists and Green Peace anti-Globalist groups in a march against multi-national Corporations. But why you ask? After all; nearly all of these corporations bring human consumers what they desire. Why is that bad? Do the conspiracy theorists and anti-globalists want to cause a power vacuum in financial markets and then what? Are they anarchists too? Do they think they can do better? How so? Where is their plan? I would like to ask them a question?

Who do you think built all this, had the vision and stuck with it on a multi-generational plan? Hmm? You want to take down corporations who provide everything you see, everywhere you go. These corporations you list supply jobs, products and services to the whole world. But since you are talking out of your other end, I guess you did not think the whole thing through yet? Still these conspiracy theorists go on and demand the political leadership and the corporate power base be culled and state such things as;

"Removal from power, indictment for crimes and what ever it might take short of armed rebellion to ensure their power is negated."

Yah but event the two-bit Castro had a plan after he stole his country, murdered and imprisoned business owners, and set up his dictatorship? Give your conspiracy a rest and think through what you are saying, it makes no sense whatsoever. Consider this in 2006.

Services On Alternative Fuel Spreads Out

Efforts to actually give out more information on alternative fuel seem to be expanding. One of the latest moves involves the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute, or the AFVI, working up a partnership with Clean Energy. And together, they are planning on expanding the range of the vital and most important pieces of information on such a mentioned topic. According to the groups, they are doing such a thing so as to be able to help consumers make the right decisions when it comes to purchasing vehicles.

Such a move would indeed be quite important and very helpful. You see, because of the huge rise of gas and fuel prices, more and more consumers are struggling to make their budget fit just right. And alternative fuel and alternative fuel vehicles seem to be the very answer to the current problem. And with this, consumers are out in the market looking for the right kind of information regarding such alternatives. Both AFVI and Clean Energy are putting together all the most needed pieces of data with the help from a team of fuel and technology experts in the whole country. It has not been disclosed though if these groups would also be working with other businesses and organizations like Chevrolet performance parts manufacturers, auto accessories crafters, and other groups involved in the industry.

As part of their campaign and move towards providing information on alternative fuel and alternative fuel vehicles to the market, the groups would also be providing other services that would provide the much needed education on such matters. The list includes forums that would give other people the chance to talk about the topic as well as get in touch with other peers located not only in their locality and region but also those who are located straight right across the country. Newsletters would also be sent out and a website would also be put up.

Annalloyd Thomason says, "What we are doing is augmenting the core business that we've developed during the past two decades. Focused attention on the use of alternative fuels and vehicles that are here today has been a core mission for us. What's new is that the support from Clean Energy allows us to expand the ways we deliver relevant information to fleets and others. That expansion will be evident during the next several months. " Thomason is currently the executive director of AFVI.

How Do I Know Whether or Not I Will End Up Saving Money When Refinancing My Home Loan?

To save money, you must live in your house longer than the "break-even period" – the period over which the interest savings just cover the refinance expenses. The larger the spread between the new interest rate and the rate on your existing loan, the shorter the break-even period. The more it cost to get the new loan, the longer the break-even period.

But be careful. The break-even period is not the cost of the new loan divided by the decrease in the monthly mortgage expense. This broadly used rule of thumb is a misapplication of the principle that when explaining something to the buyer one should "keep it simple." Simple is fine, except for when it is wrong.

The rule of thumb does not permit for the difference in how rapidly you pay off the new loan as opposed to the old one. Let us say that in 1996 you took out an 11% 30-year fixed rate loan, which now has a $ 100,000 balance and 21 years to run. You refinance into a 7% 15-year loan at a fee of $ 3,750.

Monthly expense on the old loan = $ 1019

Monthly expense on the new loan = $ 899

Reduction in monthly expense = $ 120

$ 3750 divided by $ 120 = 31 months

The rule of thumb say that you break-even in 31 months. But, because of the shorter term and lower rate on the new loan, in 31 months you would $ owe 7,041 less than you would have owed on the old loan. So, the rule of thumb in this case critically overstate the break-even period. Taking account of difference in the loan balance, you would actually be in advance of the game in 12 months, as showed below:

Savings in monthly expense: $ 120 for 12 months = $ 1440

Plus lower loan balance in month 12: $ 2620

Equals total saving from refinance: $ 4060

Less refinance cost: $ 3750

Equals net gain: $ 310

Next think about the case where an 11% loan taken out in 1996 was for 15 years, and now has only 6 years to run, while you plan to refinance into a 30-year loan. With the lasting term shorter on the old loan and longer on the new one, the difference in monthly expense rises to $ 1238. Using the rule of thumb the $ 3750 cost would be recovered in only 3 months. But this fail to consider the slower loan repayment on the new loan. Taking account of the slower repayment, you do not really come out in advance until 14 months out.

The rule of thumb (dividing the upfront cost by the decrease in mortgage expenses) approximates the true break-even period only if the term on your new loan is close to the unexpired term on your old loan. In other circumstances it can lead you critically off course.

The rules of thumb also ignore the detail that if you had not refinanced you could have earned interest on the money you pay upfront to refinance; and if you do refinance and the expense is reduced, you can now take home interest on the savings.

Dental Plans For Great Dental Care

People often do not pay as much attention to their dental health as they do to other illnesses, often with serious consequences. To keep dental diseases at bay and to meet the rising costs of dental treatment it is important that you choose a good dental plan. Having a dental plan should encourage you to take more preventive care of your teeth to avoid the more serious dental problems.

With medical insurance services, the cost of a particular medical treatment or health check is reimbursed directly by the insurance company to the medical service provider. With dental insurance plans, the company is responsible for reimbursing the dentist. Dental plans can however vary in type and feature. Dentists participating in discount dental plans take lower fees than those covered by regular dental plans, with discounts varying between 20% and 60%.

All dental plans charge a membership fee, with the amount varying from one plan to the other. Dental plans are offered to either individuals or to the whole family, with family dental plans usually offering bigger discounts than individual dental plans. You should compare the rates charged under the different plans before selecting the most appropriate one for you.

It is important also to know the type of dental services covered by your dental plan. Routine dental check ups and dental treatments such as oral examination, teeth cleaning, fluoride treatment, teeth filling and teeth extraction are generally covered by most dental plans. However, dental plans do not always cover major dental care treatments such as oral surgery, dental implants, restorative care, braces, root canal treatments etc. In case of such costly dental procedures you unfortunately have to foot the bill yourself. Often there are a number of alternative treatments available for certain dental problems. Under such circumstances dental plans allow reimbursement for the cost of the basic dental treatment, and further costs in excess of the basic treatment cost has to be covered by the patient.

Dental health plans may or may not allow you to choose your own dentist, but it is common practice for patients to generally receive dental care from dentists mentioned in the plan. Before choosing a plan make sure that the participating dentists practice in your area. Choose a plan that is accepted nationwide and not restricted to your state. Check whether you are allowed to visit the dentist unscheduled, or at scheduled hours only.

You also need to decide whether you want an annual plan or a monthly plan. Annual dental plans are more cost beneficial than monthly plans. So get regular check ups with your dentist to reap the maximum benefits out of your dental plan.

Be A Great Listener-Four Tips

We spend 75% of our wakeful time communicating:

-40% Listening

-35% Talking

-16% Reading

-9% Writing

Typically people hear less than 25% of a conversation. If you improved your listening skills what would you gain?

Using the 40% listening statistic as a bench mark, it is clear that 40% of your income is contingent on hearing others. Improved listening skills would improve your productivity, ease tension and improve your relationship with superiors, co-workers and subordinates. If you improve your listening skills by 50% your total listening capacity would be 50% compared to the typical 25%.

You can quickly improve your listening skills by knowing these important tips. Using Eric Berne's transactional analysis paradigm the following listening habits either limit your effectiveness or enhance your listening ability. Berne identified these self-limiting listening habits as Persecutor, Rescuer and Victim.

The Persecutor thinks, "I'm OK but you're not OK." The persecutor fault-finds, blame fixes, nit-picks and looks for an opportunity to say "gotcha" to the speaker. No matter what is passed over the Persecutor's desk, they find something wrong with it – pulling out their red pen, they mark and circle mistakes. They focus on what is wrong rather than what is right.

The Rescuer thinks, "I'm OK, but you're not OK," This listener, however, has a different agenda than the Persecutor. They are the continual advice-givers; they take on other people's problems; and they often give inappropriate advice because they need to be needed. People seldom want to be rescued and are not asking to be rescued. This 'hurts the feelings' of the Rescuer. They need to be needed. They think they have to do everything themselves and will work 10 to 12 hour days because they are not comfortable allowing others to take the responsibility. The rescuer does not allow others to solve their own problems or do their own thinking.

The Victim thinks, "I'm not OK, but you are OK." They let their emotions get in the way of their objectivity. They do not hear directions because it is all about them. Their internal talk is mostly negative and detracts from the message being sent or they might distort the message to confirm their belief – I'm not OK. The Victim listener can become a wedge in a team and be the one bad apple that spoils the team's effective functioning.

The Effective Listener thinks, I am OK, You're OK. They keep their emotions in check and allow everyone the opportunity to speak. Their internal talk is mostly positive. They respect others, set boundaries, ask open ended questions, give appropriate positive feedback or corrective recommendations.

Once you understand these listener styles you can systematically improve the way you hear other people's message. Identify your style, if you are a Persecutor, Rescuer or Victim – change your self-talk and dump your old habits. Likewise, identify other people's style and avoid being caught in the Persecutor, Rescuer and Victim drama.

A Guide to Patio Awnings

In many homes, especially in suburban and rural locations, the patio is one of the most cherished places in the home. Patios remind us of good times with friends and family, as the kids play and the ribs sizzle on the barbecue. Many of us also spend a considerable amount of money on our patio furniture and equipment to make it a more inviting and charming location.

Patio awnings are one way to increase the enjoyment of your patio experience. Patio awnings provide shelter from summer heat and provide much-needed shade on those sweltering evening cookouts. Patio awnings are increasing in popularity and are available in an endless variety of styles, colors and options.

Some people like the fact that patio awnings seem to add space and square footage to a home. A patio in itself is an attractive feature of any home. When you add patio awnings, however, it seems almost as if a room has been added to the home. A patio awning seems to almost enclose the patio and creates an outdoor room that everyone is sure to enjoy.

Patio awnings are available in both manual and electronic styles. The manual style patio awnings allow the homeowner to manually adjust the depth, or pitch, of the awning's fabric. You can choose to have the awning completely open or merely partially open according to your preferences. Automatic, or electronic, patio awnings are controlled by electronic "arms" with the push of a button; many also have remote controls for easier use. Automatic patio awnings usually also come with a manual override feature in case of a power outage. or if the motor should stop performing.

Free Indian Horoscope & Astrology – Indastro

Horoscope is the construction of your basic placement of planets at time of birth in a pre-decided format called the birth chart.

There are basic differences in techniques in casting birth chart / horoscope by Indian Vedic, Western, Greek, Chinese System etc. It is this differences which makes the interpretations & predictions different and superior to other systems.

The birth chart cast on the Indian System is truly unique since the Indian system makes adjustments for the fact that our Zodiac / Universe is moving and not fixed (by the Big Bang theory of creation of Universe – this system is following for more than 7000 years , proving ancient Indians had a great grasp of astronomy before any other civilization).

Also the Indian system takes into account that the zodiac is elliptic an not circular due to which the twelve houses in a birth chart are not 30 degree each but varying according to the time of birth. Due to these differences the birth chart cast on the Indian system would come out different from that done on any other system AND much more accurate:

To QUOTE an example, there could be a chart cast on the western system with MOON in Sagittarius on 10 degree in the 9th house, making the person: WISE WELL KNOWN, FRANK, OPEN MINDED, LUCKY, HAVING INTERNATIONAL REPUTE, HAPPY WITH REGARD TO MOTH.

NOW, if the same birth details are used to construct the chart on the Indian system, the MOON will fall in Scorpio 17 degree, 8th house, making the person petty, unhealthy, complexed, problems with mother, low on talent, insignificant and having a problematic married / love life.

Path to Healing

It is within us to explore and draw upon our inner resources to heal.

Some wounds are embedded so deeply that no amount of professional expertise can cure, much less heal. A famous Yale surgeon says that as a surgeon, he cuts into the body, but he can not order the wound to heal. Ultimately, it is through our efforts that healing can occur. The path to healing is a personal choice. It is a path where you choose to piece together the fragments and make it "whole" again. It paves the way to self-discovery, to open the door to your inner self and experience inner harmony. And ultimately, come to meet the child within that has longed for your love, care and attention. The child within that is forgotten, pushed to the background, lurks in the shadows, but patiently waits to be acknowledged.

WHAT NEEDS HEALING? Childhood trauma:

The imprints of childhood experience is a powerful force. An expectant mother who lives through a stressful situation during pregnancy share the burden with the unborn child. Years ago, domestic matters were never discussed openly, especially issues about abuse, violence, neglect, abandonment and other related matters. Today, society is more aware of the potential or actual existence of abuse and violence in the home. Tragic that the innermost and safest sanctuary society depends upon can be the most dangerous. These are issues that take its toll on the young victims. They grow up with wounds, carry them around like a heavy load on their shoulders. Some never get over their trauma, it turns up at the most unexpected moment to haunt them; yet, there are those who are lucky enough to confront it and use it to propel themselves to a healthier mind, body and spirit, successful relationships and life itself.

When love is a venom:

How many hearts have known pain all in the name of love. It invades lives from all walks of life, social status, add to that race or creed. No one wants to suffer pain, but it does happen. Healing a broken heart, picking up the pieces of broken hopes and dreams, suffer the betrayal, endure shattered self-image, re-live the haunting nightmares, the violation of one's innermost being, soul and spirit … it can take a lifetime to heal. The most traumatic of all is the violation that comes from those who are supposed to provide a nurturing environment to those who are entrusted to their care. All in the guise of love.

The loss of a loved one can be most devastating. Sometimes one did not have a chance to bid their last farewell. It was all too sudden. Or one passes away after a lingering illness, with the relief that the suffering is over comes the grief of the loss. At one point and time in one's life, grief is a reality.

Wrong turns, wrong choices, wrong decisions- we all take wrong turns, make wrong decisions and choices. This is a human trait, even the saintliest of the saints has experienced this. We stumble, we fall, but many of us manage to get up and get on with life. The losses incurred at times may be life-threatening, or at the cost of financial comfort and security or worst, relationships are threatened, lost, sadly but innocently or unconsciously someone else has to bear consequences and the sacrifice. Wearing guilt on your sleeves, in your heart, in your being invites negative vibrations and digs you deeper into the mire. Take a look at those sad eyes, the window of the soul, and you'll know. However, this is not a dead-end!

Unfulfilled dreams and hopes

Live your dream, ride on the wings of hope- this will not always work out. One day you wake up and realize your dream never materialized and now you languish over the many years you spent trying to pursue that dream! All this while, time, opportunities and life passed you by. Hope can lead to disappointment- realize this. When all hopes are dashed, what have you got?

Healing is a complex matter. Who has never felt the pains of suffering, be it physical, mental, emotional, material and spiritual Even our dear Mother Earth is in desperate need of healing from the abuse inflicted upon her through man's recklessness, negligence and lack of respect. There are avenues open to healing. One may choose to spend time with a professional, seek comfort from related groups, from family, but always, healing has to start with oneself, from within that deep well of strength. It takes determination to face up to your dilemma, but, ultimately, it is most rewarding to regain your personal power, self-confidence, learn to love yourself and enjoy that inner peace and calm. It is important to acknowledge the pain, to recognize the cause, to be able to integrate the fragmented pieces and be willing to take it to the next step to be "whole" again. Then, you will be able to share love and peace with the world once again. Healing extends beyond the physical state- when the pain is so deep, the spirit, the soul also bear the pain. It comes in hauntingly in the dark of the night, it fills a once loving heart with venom, it could ravage a once healthy mind and body. Beneath a once beautiful and graceful soul is the mask of vengeance. Venom for venom.

Sometimes, the path to healing is full of potholes. Indeed, the path is covered with blocks, where healing can not be accomplished, it's almost out of reach.

Impediments on the path:

denial, apathy, self-absorption and self-indulgence, addiction, putting up walls and barriers, busy-bee syndrome, compartmentalizing, isolation, withdrawal from society, cynicism, loss of faith, trust and compassion, self-pity, poor -me syndrome, anger, fear of getting hurt again, martyr complex, neurosis or psychosis, aggressive / oppressive behaviour, confrontational attitude guilt complex, resignation, loss of motivation. Sometimes, we hurt those we love most deeply, likewise, we bear the pain they cause. Time is a great healer, but do not take the painfully slow route and miss out on what the world holds for you. Let life flow for you and with you.

Is The US Dollar About To Reverse Course?

For the first time in several years the US dollar has managed to gain value against the world's other major currencies. During the first three months of 2005, the US dollar is up approximately five percent against both the yen and the euro. The gains for the dollar should be considered significant when considering the United States still faces a growing trade imbalance. So far this year, currency traders have shifted their focus from the United States' large trade and current account shortfalls toward the higher rates of returns being offered on US debt. The recent strength shown in the dollar has somewhat shifted sentiment within the financial markets about the future direction of the currency. A Bloomberg survey released earlier this week shows that the major currency traders expect to see dollar weakness resume later in the year, but the sentiment among dollar bears is much weaker than it was at the start of the year.

The strength shown in the US currency thus far in 2005 should prove to be short-lived. The strong Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth during the past eighteen months will begin to show signs of moving closer to more normal levels over the next couple months. The signs of a slower economic growth will likely cause a shift in sentiment among currency traders toward the more fundamental problems facing the US economy. The United States trade and current account deficits show no signs of retreating anytime soon. In fact, we expect the coming trade figures to show further deterioration in the balance of trade over the next few months. The major industrialized nations outside of the United States continue to experience anemic economic growth. This continues to place further pressure on the US dollar as the United States consumer continues to buy goods produced in Europe, Japan, and China.

While we expect the dollar to resume its gradual fall against most major currencies, the major wildcard in our forecast is of course China. Recent information coming from China's top decision makers indicates the Chinese are in no hurry to adjust the current value of the Yuan-Dollar relationship. Should any talks of a possible revaluation emerge later in the year, the downward pressure on the US dollar would quicken as currency traders would buy the Japanese yen, and other freely traded Asian currencies, that would likely benefit from a revaluation.

Pay Attention To What Your Dog Eats

Does your dog ever go into the yard and eat something you wish he did not? Maybe it's a plant or a tree branch or even some stray trash that made it's way into your yard. My guess is that you do not like it when your dog eats those things. But if your dog eats ordinary, processed dog food, your dog probably eats things that are worse than what is in your yard each and every day.

Ordinary store-bought dog food often contains cheap ingredients, unhealthy filler, and unhealthy preservatives. Unless you are a veterinarian or a food scientist, it is likely for you to pronounce all of the ingredients that are in your dog's food.

That's a scary thought, is not it? What, exactly, are you putting into your dog's body? When you can not make sense of the list of ingredients, it's hard to say.

So what can you do about it? You can make dog food at home. Homemade dog food is healthier and probably tastes better too. When you make dog food at home you know what is in it. You know how fresh it is. By spending a little time up front to research recipes and to prepare the food, you will have a healthier and a happier dog (you will probably save some money too).

Be cautious about buying ordinary dog food. Read the packaging carefully and get an understanding of what exactly is in the food you are buying for your dog. If you are not comfortable with the food choices available for your dog, you should consider home made dog food.
